– Monthly evening of music and arts hosted by the band Highbench who will perform along with invited special guests. Hosted by special arrangement in one of Highbench’s favorite live recording studios. Limited number of tickets available. SATURDAY FEBRUARY 27th, 2010 Doors Open 8pm, First Performance 8:20pm.

1st Guest Performer -Elna Baker Comedian and storyteller Elna Baker has performed with The Moth, on NPR’s This American Life, Studio 360, BBC Radio 4, at the Upright Citizens Brigade, The PIT, The Magnet and at many other comedy clubs throughout New York City. Her show IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING premiered at the NY Fringe Festival. She also created MEXICAN-MORMON (La Mama Etc.) and A BOOK OF OVER-DRAMATIC CONFESSIONS. She’s written for ELLE Magazine, GLAMOUR, Five Dials and The Onion. She also appeared in The New Yorker.

2nd Guest Performer –Cinjun Tate Singer/Songwriter Cinjun Tate is the lead singer of alternative rock band “Remy Zero.” Cinjun has toured alongside bands including Radiohead, Travis, Counting Crows, Mute Math and has had music featured in the soundtracks for numerous feature films including the Grammy award winning soundtrack to the film “Garden State”. His song “Save Me” is the theme song of the CW network TV network hit show “Smallville”. Cinjun will be peforming a special acoustic set.

Host and Final Performer – Highbench Dave Western, Andrew Western, Chris Muir and Shane Fillmore’s band Highbench has performed more than 200 concerts in New York City, mesmerizing crowds with a vast, intense, and cinematic sound in leading NYC venues including CBGB’s, the Knitting Factory, Roseland Ballroom, B.B. King Blues Club, and the Hard Rock Cafe-NYC. Highbench has gigged and shared the stage with a diverse mix of musicians including: Naughty By Nature, Howard Jones, Max Weinberg from E Street Band, and has created and performed notable mash ups with Cypress Hill’s DJ Muggs and with DJ Thaddeus. TV appearances have included live performances on CBS’s “The Early Show” and Fox TV’s “Fearless Music”. Highbench’s music has also been featured on the CW Television Network’s dramas “Hidden Palms” and “Life is Wild”, and on the 2K Sports video game “the BIGS.”
